Job Summary

Fresenius Medical Care North America is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team as a Hemodialysis Registered Nurse. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong clinical skills, excellent communication, and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to patients undergoing hemodialysis, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, and document patient responses and outcomes.
  • Conduct ongoing education and training for patients and families on hemodialysis treatment and self-care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
  • Supervise and mentor Patient Care Technicians and other nursing staff as needed.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Current appropriate state licensure.
  • Current or successful completion of CPR BLS Certification.
  • Minimum of 2 years of Nephrology Nursing experience.
Working Conditions

The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

  • The position provides direct patient care that regularly involves heavy lifting, moving of patients and assisting with ambulation.
  • This position requires frequent, prolonged periods of standing and the employee must be able to bend over.
  • The employee may occasionally be required to move, with assistance, machines, and equipment of up to 200 lbs., and may lift chemical and water solutions of up to 30 lbs. as high as 5 feet.
  • The work environment is characteristic of a health care facility with air temperature control and moderate noise levels.
  • May be exposed to infectious and contagious diseases/materials.
