Job Summary:

Culinary Assistant - Food Preparation Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Culinary Assistant to join our team as a Food Preparation Specialist. This role is responsible for preparing, presenting, and serving food to students in our school cafeterias.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare ingredients for menu items according to established recipes and presentation guidelines.
  • Present food in a visually appealing manner, following company standards.
  • Serve food to students in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils throughout the day.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and report any discrepancies to management.
  • Assist with food storage, rotation, and waste disposal.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous food service experience preferred but not required.
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Able to maintain a clean and safe working environment.

What We Offer:

  • $12.00 per hour (pay rate may vary based on location).
  • Part-time schedule, Monday - Friday, 8:00 am to 2:30 pm.
  • Academic schedule, six paid holidays, and five paid sick days.
  • Discounted meal options during shifts.
