We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at the Capitol Hill Medical Center. As an Imaging Expert, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and delivering exceptional imaging services.

About the Job

This is a call-in/on-call position, working 1 week per month with a varied schedule from 6:00 AM to 11:30 PM. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for delivering customer-focused service.

Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of MRI procedures, including brain, body, spine, and extremity scans.
  • Select and modify technical factors to enhance images, using flare and SAT imaging techniques.
  • Determine appropriate equipment for scanning, adjusting parameters to minimize risk factors.
  • Identify gross pathology in the human body, adjusting T1 and T2 scanning parameters to provide pertinent information for interpretation.
  • Effectively perform Diffusion studies, MR Angiograms, reformats, and MIP imaging.
  • Photograph, archive, and retrieve images, ensuring proper film identification on all images.
Requirements
  • Minimum one year experience as an MRI technologist or registry-eligible ARRT advanced certification in MRI required.
  • Current in ARRT OR ARMRIT CEU requirements, with venipuncture competency check-off within three months of hire.
  • Graduate of an accredited radiology technology program or MRI Accredited Certificate Program required.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Certificate - Magnetic Resonance Imaging within 12 months of hire or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists Certificate.
  • Radiologic Technologist Certification, Basic Life Support, and proficiency in applicable computer software.
