Job Overview
We are seeking a Dialysis Care Specialist to join our team at one of our outpatient dialysis centers. As a Dialysis Care Specialist, you will have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of our patients and their families dealing with end-stage renal failure or chronic kidney disease. You will work under the supervision of a registered nurse and as part of a cross-functional team of clinicians including technicians, nurses, dietitians, social workers, and leadership.
Responsibilities
* Provide direct patient care to ensure safe, comfortable, and hygienic dialysis treatment.
* Monitor patients before, during, and after dialysis treatment, including measuring and recording stats, patient observations, and hemodialysis machine setup.
* Educate patients on kidney dialysis-related topics and build long-term relationships with patients who receive treatment on average 3 times/week.
* Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to provide comprehensive care to patients.
Requirements
* Desire to enter the healthcare field to care for others in need.
* High school diploma or equivalent required; healthcare experience a plus.
* Must be comfortable working around blood and needles.
* Ability to work long hours (some shifts are 12+ hours) on your feet; wear comfortable shoes.
* Willingness to train and work across multiple clinics within the territory as needed.
