Job Summary

Puck Enterprises is seeking a highly skilled Service Technician to join our team. As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for conducting troubleshooting, emergency repairs, and preventive maintenance services for our equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct emergency and unscheduled repairs of application equipment during peak seasons and perform scheduled maintenance repairs during off-peak seasons.
  • Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of application equipment.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Interact with customers and vendors to respond to questions, concerns, and troubleshooting in a timely manner.
  • Determine the issue by evaluating and analyzing symptoms, diagnose, and resolve the issue(s).
  • Research required information using available resources and follow standard processes and procedures.
  • Ensure issues are resolved to completion and follow up with customers or vendors as necessary to close the loop.
  • Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Comply with OSHA and Puck safety rules.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED diploma, or three to six months' related experience in farming, construction, carpentry, or manufacturing, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Three to six months' experience in safely operating agricultural equipment or machines.
  • Working knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems, including routing and installing hydraulic hoses and electrical wiring and components.
  • Experience with metal working equipment such as welders, torches, saws, drill presses, iron workers, hydraulic presses, or related equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Two-year technical degree.
  • Two or more years of related experience.
Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at job sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, twisting, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
