Job Overview

Norton Medical Group is seeking a highly skilled Senior Behavioral Health Specialist to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients and their families.

Responsibilities
  • The Senior Behavioral Health Specialist will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary care team to evaluate and address patient's mental health needs.
  • Conducts psychiatric diagnostic assessments, thorough psychosocial assessments, creates a behavioral health treatment plan, and utilizes evidence-based practice interventions to achieve improved medical and mental health outcomes.
  • Responsible for timely completion of documentation for billing of services and coordination of care.
  • Manages emergent mental health needs in the clinic, including acute anxiety, depression, and crisis interventions.
  • Demonstrates strong clinical skills in assessment and treatment for mental health issues, advanced triage, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills in a clinic setting.
  • Advocating for patients and families, analyzing psychosocial needs, and resource coordination are also expected in this role.
Qualifications
  • Requires a Master Degree in Social Work and 2 years post graduate experience as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (KY).
  • Preferred qualifications include 1 year of experience as a social worker.
