Job Overview

Position Title: Protestant Religious Education Coordinator

Location: Clovis, NM

Key Responsibilities:

  • The Protestant Religious Education Coordinator will deliver services for programs catering to adults, youth, and children throughout the year, including a summer initiative.
  • Support the recruitment of volunteers, such as educators and assistants, and oversee training for religious education instructors; collaborate with the Lead Faith Group Chaplain to align program requirements.
  • Organize a minimum of two volunteer educator training sessions annually.
  • Facilitate additional workshops for special events, such as children's musical participation, summer religious education, and holiday programs.
  • The coordinator will act as a Program Leader during semi-annual meetings of the Chaplain Corps Financial Working Group.
  • Plan and implement an annual event to acknowledge and celebrate volunteers, coordinating details with chapel staff.

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of two years of experience in administration, program management, education, Bible studies, volunteer coordination, or customer service.
  • Two years of documented religious work experience is preferred.
  • Proficient in basic computer applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Must provide proof of a high school diploma or equivalent; a bachelor's degree in religious studies, education, or social sciences is preferred.
  • Must present at least two references knowledgeable about previous work as a religious education coordinator or instructor.
