Job Summary

Amentum is seeking a highly skilled High Voltage Electrical Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our electrical maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our high voltage electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Electrical System Maintenance
    • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on high voltage electrical systems, including distribution feeders, transformers, and switchgear.
    • Inspect and test electrical equipment to ensure it is functioning properly and safely.
  • Power Distribution
    • Install, test, and maintain power distribution equipment, including circuit breakers, fuses, and relays.
    • Ensure that power distribution systems are operating within safe and acceptable parameters.
  • Electrical Troubleshooting
    • Analyze and troubleshoot electrical system problems to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
    • Use electrical test equipment to diagnose and repair electrical system issues.
  • Record Keeping
    • Maintain accurate and detailed records of electrical system maintenance, repairs, and testing.
    • Ensure that all records are up-to-date and compliant with regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Education
    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
    • Technical school or apprenticeship training in electrical maintenance or a related field preferred.
  • Experience
    • 8+ years of experience in electrical maintenance or a related field required.
    • Experience with high voltage electrical systems and power distribution equipment preferred.
  • Qualifications
    • Journeyman electrician license required.
    • Strong knowledge of electrical codes and regulations, including NEC and OSHA.
    • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
    • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master Electrician License
    • Master electrician license preferred.
  • Specialized Training
    • NFPA-70E training preferred.
    • OSHA 10 training preferred.
    • CPR training preferred.
