About the Role

Dallas College is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to fill the position of Lab Specialist. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in maintaining the smooth operation of our laboratories, specialized classrooms, and learning laboratories.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain laboratory equipment, tools, and materials in good working condition, ensuring that repairs are scheduled and completed in a timely manner.
  • Provide technical support for courses and programs, including troubleshooting lab hardware and software issues.
  • Partner with faculty to coordinate learning lab support services, including student orientation and training.
  • Monitor students in the computer lab during open lab periods and assist in maintaining a safe and clean learning environment.
  • Serve as a resource to students, staff, and faculty in the area of specialization, providing excellent customer service and communication skills.
Requirements
  • Associate degree plus one year of related work experience and/or experience in a teaching environment.
  • Official transcripts are required.
  • Some positions may require specific state licenses or certifications depending on the discipline.
  • Bilingual preferred.
