Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including troubleshooting and repairing electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Diagnose and repair complex equipment issues, using advanced diagnostic tools and techniques.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance personnel to prioritize and schedule maintenance activities.
  • Assist in training and mentoring junior technicians to ensure knowledge transfer and skill development.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices, applying new knowledge and techniques to improve maintenance efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; AAS in Industrial Maintenance or related field preferred.
  • 7-10 years of heavy industrial maintenance experience, with a focus on steel mill equipment.
  • Advanced knowledge of AC/DC motors, gearbox mechanics, lubrication principles, welding, and cutting torch techniques.
  • Ability to work at heights, in cramped quarters, and in extreme ambient temperatures.
  • Validated level 1 PDM training in laser alignment, vibration, IR, MCE, lubrication, and ultrasound.
