Position Overview:
The Electromechanical Systems Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of production and assembly lines. This position involves:
- Technical Support: Providing controls and technical assistance for various production shifts, troubleshooting issues, and identifying root causes of downtime incidents.
- Automation Optimization: Identifying and eliminating production barriers across different automation levels, including welding machines, conveyor systems, automated assembly lines, and robotic equipment.
- Collaboration: Working closely with production and maintenance teams on modifications or installations of existing machine controls.
- Documentation Maintenance: Keeping up-to-date records, including electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics; panel layouts; PLC programs; operator displays; and robot programming.
- Educational Background: A minimum of a 2-Year College Degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related discipline is required.
- Experience: Some background in the electrical field is preferred.
- Shift Flexibility: Willingness to work 2nd shift and weekends as needed.
- System Knowledge: Familiarity with electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems is essential.
- Programming Skills: Proficiency in PLC programming is required.
- Technical Expertise: Experience in both electrical and mechanical systems is necessary.
- Documentation Skills: Ability to prepare, read, and interpret reports, instructions, procedures, and guidelines effectively.
- Blueprint Interpretation: Competence in reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics is crucial.
