Cable Installation Technician

As a Cable Installation Technician, your primary responsibility will be to facilitate the installation of our cable television and broadband services. You will represent Mediacom in customer homes, ensuring a positive experience while performing various installation tasks.

Your duties will include:

• Executing new service installations and modifications.
• Handling customer requests for additional outlets and service changes.
• Collecting payments and addressing customer inquiries regarding installations.

Your responsibilities will encompass:

• Completing installations from the service tap to customer equipment.
• Performing service connections, disconnections, and equipment upgrades.
• Assessing and ensuring quality of service delivered.
• Utilizing hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Maintaining accurate records and paperwork as required.
• Reading and interpreting system layouts and blueprints.
• Driving company vehicles and ensuring proper maintenance.
• Generating additional revenue through effective communication of service options.

• A high school diploma or GED.
• A valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
• Basic mechanical knowledge and familiarity with consumer devices.
• Strong communication skills for customer interaction.
• The ability to work in various environmental conditions and at heights.

This role involves physical tasks, including:
