POSITION SUMMARY
The Gurwin Healthcare System is dedicated to providing exceptional care across a comprehensive range of services. We are currently in search of a full-time Lead Housekeeper who will play a pivotal role in maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of our community. This position is crucial in ensuring that our residents experience a welcoming and pristine environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Lead Housekeeper will oversee the cleanliness of the community and its residences, ensuring that all areas are orderly, sanitized, and adhere to the highest standards. Responsibilities include:
- Establishing and maintaining cleanliness standards throughout the community.
- Providing leadership and support to the housekeeping team through guidance and training.
- Communicating effectively with staff and management regarding cleanliness protocols.
- Performing general housekeeping duties in all community spaces, including bathrooms and residential units.
- Creating and managing cleaning schedules for staff.
- Ensuring that all equipment and supplies are well-maintained and reporting any issues promptly.
- Adhering to infection control policies and implementing best practices.
- Participating in ongoing training and educational opportunities.
QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants should possess a high school diploma or equivalent and demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse population. Flexibility in working hours is essential to meet the needs of the community.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The role requires the ability to work in a clean, well-lit environment with varying levels of noise and activity. Housekeepers may encounter cleaning chemicals and should be prepared for physical demands, including standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 pounds.
