Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at ECHN. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our rehabilitation services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patients to determine their functional abilities and develop individualized treatment plans to improve or restore function.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and modify treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Administer various therapies, including physical agents and manual techniques, to relieve pain and achieve established goals.
  • Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare teams to educate and empower individuals to maximize their independence and functional activity.
  • Document patient progress and maintain accurate records in accordance with insurance guidelines and departmental policies.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary teams and communicate effectively with referring physicians to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Supervise affiliated students and contribute to the clinical education of future healthcare professionals.
  • Stay current with industry developments and best practices by attending continuing education courses and participating in departmental in-services.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program with a minimum of a B.S. degree.
  • Current Connecticut license or eligibility for licensure.
  • Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficient in the use of Windows-based programs and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Reliable transportation and ability to travel between multiple work sites.
