We are seeking a skilled Asphalt Screed Operator to join our team at D.A. Collins Companies, a leading provider of civil heavy highway construction services.

Compensation: The estimated annual salary for this role is $55,000-$92,000, depending on experience and qualifications.

About the Role

This position involves operating a paving machine, ensuring high-quality finishes, and working safely in various weather conditions. As an Asphalt Screed Operator, you will be part of a dynamic team that strives to deliver exceptional results in a fast-paced industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and control the screed of a paving machine, adhering to safety protocols and procedures.
  • Perform visual tasks such as back-up spotting and react to back-up alarms.
  • Work effectively with a crew to complete daily tasks and achieve project goals.
  • Travel to different locations, including interstates and thruways, as required.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in civil heavy highway construction.
  • 1 year's experience operating asphalt screeds or similar equipment.
  • Familiarity with State of NY and VT specifications, along with heavy highway construction and paving practices.
