We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Legal Counsel to join our team at AEG. As a key member of our legal department, you will provide general legal support to our organization and play a critical role in shaping our legal strategy.
Key Responsibilities- Transactional Support: Draft, prepare, and review a variety of transactional documents, including sponsorships, licensing agreements, media rights agreements, joint ventures, consulting agreements, non-disclosure agreements, and other agreements.
- Investigations and Compliance: Manage investigations related to violations of our policy to prevent and eliminate workplace discrimination, harassment, and bullying, as well as other league rules.
- League Governance: Support league and team governance, ownership transactions, and expansion matters.
- Intellectual Property: Support league and clubs on intellectual property matters, including trademark and copyright prosecution, maintenance, and enforcement.
- Strategic Advice: Provide strategic legal advice to business teams regarding data collection and processing and privacy compliance.
- Policies and Procedures: Assist in developing league policies and procedures and interpreting applicable league rules.
- Risk Management: Support risk management efforts and management of insurance policies.
- Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvements in policies and processes, including document templates, evaluate workflows, and establish priorities.
- Education: Juris Doctorate from an ABA-accredited law school.
- Experience: Minimum 10+ years of relevant experience at a leading law firm and/or corporate legal department with relevant experience.
- Skills: Strong teamwork and relationship management skills, ability to be flexible and resourceful in response to changing priorities and needs, demonstrated willingness to continuously acquire new competencies and accept new challenges, ability to handle multiple assignments and deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail, proficient with Microsoft applications, excellent communication skills, and ability to work nontraditional hours.
