About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Linen Coordinator to join our team at Hackensack Meridian Health. As a key member of our linen services team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient distribution of linen throughout our Medical Center.

Responsibilities

  • Linen Preparation: Fold and stock linen exchange and PAR linen carts to meet the needs of our patients and staff.
  • Quality Control: Inspect linen continuously for stains and tears, and ensure that all linen trucks and carts meet established standards.
  • Customer Service: Answer phone calls and assist callers with linen requests, and dispatch laundry workers for delivery as needed.
  • Housekeeping: Assist with cleaning of work areas, sweeping, and dusting to maintain a clean and safe environment.

Requirements

  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in a production environment, preferably in a laundry service setting.
  • Skills: Prior experience with high-volume automated machinery and a strong attention to detail.
