Dining Service Aide/Dishwasher Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Dining Service team as a Dining Aide/Dishwasher. This is a full-time, year-round position working 40 hours/week for 52 weeks (1.00 FTE). The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of sanitation and safety in the dishroom and kitchen areas.
Key Responsibilities- Operate the dishroom and pots and pans cleaning area efficiently and effectively.
- Perform sanitation duties as assigned, including sweeping and mopping floors, wiping walls, tables, and chairs, cleaning employee restrooms, kitchen cooking equipment, refrigerated, frozen, and dry storage area, and loading dock area.
- Maintain serving line supplies, including milk and beverage machines.
- Wash and cut vegetables and assist in the salad room.
- Stock salad bar and deli areas.
- Refill and replace condiments (i.e., salt/pepper shakers, napkins, sugar, and jelly).
- Stack dishware, pots, pans, and glassware for service.
- Occasionally assist with other kitchen and catering duties.
The starting pay range for this position will be $18.00/hour. Compensation based on your skills and experience. New employees in Dining will receive a $500 sign-on bonus (1⁄2 paid at first check and 1⁄2 paid after 90 days of eligibility requirements are met).

High school diploma or equivalent. Commitment to customer service. Ability to understand and practice recycling and other sustainability practices. Ability to multi-task. Ability to follow written and oral direction.
No prior experience necessary. Preferred: Someone who has an eye for detail and is a thorough cleaner. Some previous related experience. Demonstrated reliability as well as neat and clean appearance. ServSafe certification (Dining employees will be provided training within their first six months to become certified).
