Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at CHRISTUS Health. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of diagnostic imaging procedures, including routine and advanced imaging techniques. You will work closely with our radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care and accurate diagnoses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays, CT scans, and MRI scans, using proper technique and following established protocols.
  • Evaluate patients for clinical contrast history and possible contraindications, and take necessary precautions to ensure patient safety.
  • Adhere to established section and organizational protocols, QA guidelines, and regulatory requirements to ensure high-quality patient care and accurate diagnoses.
  • Interact appropriately with patients and all care providers, coordinating and prioritizing procedures during the workday to maintain a high level of patient care and continuity.
  • Assist radiologists or other medical professionals in invasive and fluoroscopic procedures, using equipment to pinpoint anatomical locations.
  • Ensure that exam rooms are neat, clean, and adequately stocked prior to exams being performed, and act to ensure compliance with Infection Control standards.
  • Ensure all charges are correctly coded and entered.
  • Appropriately adapt to assigned patient assessment, treatment, and/or care methods to accommodate the unique physical, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual, age-specific, and other developmental needs of each patient served.
  • Perform all duties in a manner that protects the confidentiality of patients and does not solicit or disclose any confidential information unless it is necessary in the performance of assigned job duties.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology or other accepted and approved equivalent required.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a hospital preferred.
  • Current registration from The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists required (Temporary permit required for new graduates).
  • Current state licensure required.
  • Current BLS (American Heart Association) required.
