About the Role:

Uline, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Database Administrator to join our in-house IT team. As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining database solutions for our North American operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design complex databases, tables, stored procedures, views, triggers, and other database objects, as well as Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) solutions.
  • Work closely with application development project teams to ensure optimal application performance.
  • Proactively monitor database performance, optimizing through techniques including indexing, query optimization, and database design.
  • Provide day-to-day support for databases and database applications, ensuring they are backed up properly, and recovery procedures are tested and documented.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology or a related field.
  • 5+ years in Database Management or Data Integration.
  • Proficient in a Database Management System such as DataStax, Oracle, or SQL Server.
  • Familiar with replication technologies and ability to read a Logical Data Model.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
