Job Summary:
The Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) is a key member of the Carondelet St. Marys Hospital team, providing direct clinical patient care and supervision to assigned patients on a per shift basis. This role assumes responsibility for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating direct clinical care to ensure high-quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess patients' physical and emotional needs, developing individualized care plans to meet those needs.
- Implement and evaluate the effectiveness of care plans, making adjustments as needed to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Supervise and delegate tasks to nursing staff, ensuring that all care is delivered in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions between shifts.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and contributing to the development of evidence-based practices.
Requirements:
