The DoubleTree by Hilton Washington DC North/Gaithersburg is seeking a highly skilled Banquet Manager to lead our team in delivering exceptional guest experiences during banquet functions.
As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and coordination of all banquet events, ensuring seamless service and exceeding guest expectations.
Key Responsibilities- Event Planning and Coordination: Develop and implement event plans, including setup, execution, and breakdown, to ensure timely and efficient service.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and train banquet staff to ensure they are equipped to provide exceptional service and meet the needs of our guests.
- Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections of banquet areas to ensure cleanliness, organization, and adherence to hotel standards.
- Menu Knowledge: Familiarize yourself with our menu offerings and be able to provide detailed information to guests, including ingredients and preparation methods.
- Communication: Effectively communicate with hotel management, guests, and staff to ensure seamless service and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in a banquet management or supervisory role, preferably in a hotel or resort setting.
- Skills: Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Physical Demands: Ability to transport up to 30lbs through a crowded room on a continuous basis throughout the shift.
- Availability: Must be available to work various shifts, weekends, and holidays.
