Painter - Weekends

We are seeking a skilled Powder Coating Specialist to join our team at Activar. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for applying a durable and attractive finish to our products using the powder coating process.

• Pre-treatment and Finishing: Prepare components for coating by cleaning and degreasing them, and then apply a finish coat using the powder coating process.
• Equipment Preparation: Set up and maintain the spray paint equipment, including filling containers with the correct powder and connecting air hoses.
• Painting and Finishing: Spray paint manufactured articles on the paint line, and then clean all spray equipment to ensure a high-quality finish.
• Quality Control: Hang and remove components from the paint conveyor line to ensure a quality finish throughout the painting process.
• Maintenance and Safety: Maintain the work area and equipment, and ensure the safe operation of equipment to prevent accidents and injuries.

• Experience: Two plus years of experience in a relevant manufacturing setting, with experience in the powder coating process.
• Education: Equivalent of high school diploma or G.E.D. certification.
• Skills: Effective communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
