Job Summary

This position is located at the US Army's Family and Morale, Welfare & Recreation department in Carlisle Barracks, Pennsylvania.

Responsibilities
  • Works under general supervision of the Outdoor Recreation Manager or Recreation Specialist as a Recreation Assistant.
  • Receives payments, issues receipts, documents, and ensures proper internal control procedures.
  • Must be familiar with all programs offered by Outdoor Recreation and the local area.
  • Reports any problems to the Outdoor Recreation Manager or Recreation Specialist as soon as possible.
  • Instructs groups and individuals in a variety of outdoor recreation programs, such as rafting, rock climbing, kayaking, hiking, mountain biking, and challenge course.
Requirements
  • Must have knowledge of and experience in a wide variety of Outdoor Recreation pursuits.
  • Applicants pursuing a degree in Recreation Management, Outdoor Recreation, or a related field are preferred.
  • In the process of completing an internship or fieldwork program will be considered highly qualified.

This is a pay-banded position with Sunday premium pay and night differential authorized by the Garrison Commander.

Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid.
