At Susquehanna Health and Wellness Center, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Manager to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the care, systems, and processes that deliver exceptional resident care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise nursing care provided by nursing assistants, licensed vocational/practical nurses, and others for whom you are administratively or professionally responsible.
- Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws.
- Interview, recommend hires, and train employees.
- Plan, assign, and direct work.
- Promote and protect resident rights; assist residents to make informed decisions; treat residents with dignity and respect.
Requirements:
- Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in this state.
- Two (2) years of experience preferred as a supervisor in a hospital, nursing care facility, or other related healthcare facility.
- Must have, as a minimum of six (6) months experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices.
- Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to nursing care facilities.
- Must possess leadership and supervisory ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise other personnel.
