Job Summary

Virginia Western Community College is seeking a qualified Part-Time Art History Adjunct Faculty to join our team in the School of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences. As an adjunct faculty member, you will be responsible for teaching college-level courses in Art History to students on our main campus.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach Art History courses to students in a dynamic and engaging manner
  • Develop and implement curriculum that meets the needs of our students
  • Maintain currency in your teaching discipline and stay up-to-date on trends in community college education
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve departmental goals
Requirements
  • Masters degree in Art History or a related field
  • At least 18 graduate semester hours in Art History courses
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work with students of varying abilities from diverse backgrounds
Preferred Qualifications
  • Teaching experience at the college level
  • Experience using technology in the classroom
