Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated LPN specializing in wound care to join our team. This full-time role offers a competitive starting pay ranging from $25 to $30 per hour, with additional compensation for evening, night, and weekend shifts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess and monitor patients for skin issues, implementing treatment plans as directed by physicians.
  • Administer medications and document all treatments accurately.
  • Maintain detailed records of patient progress, symptoms, and care interventions.
  • Collaborate with the supervising RN to provide comprehensive patient updates.
  • Prepare reports for the Director of Nursing to support departmental initiatives.
  • Assist in the management of acute and chronic wounds, including pressure ulcers and skin infections.
  • Communicate effectively with attending physicians regarding patient care.
  • Facilitate patient admissions, discharges, and transfers as needed.
  • Conduct compliance rounds and address any relevant issues.
  • Support the Director of Nursing in following up on consultant recommendations.
  • Ensure accurate documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Promote a positive image of the organization through effective communication and leadership.
  • Participate in committees and collaborative projects to enhance organizational effectiveness.
  • Perform additional duties as required to support the success of the organization.
Qualifications:
  • Degree in nursing from an accredited institution or completion of an approved LPN program.
  • Current LPN license in the state of Georgia.
Skills Required:
  • Strong organizational and prioritization abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to engage positively with patients, families, and colleagues.
Additional Requirements:
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting safety protocols and operational guidelines.
  • Basic mathematical skills for medication administration.
  • Ability to apply common sense in various situations.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
