Commercial HVAC Repair and Maintenance Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled HVAC Technician to join our team at ABM Industries. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of HVAC equipment and systems.
Key Responsibilities- Installation and Maintenance: Install, repair, and maintain various HVAC equipment, including refrigeration, air conditioning, electric motors, heating units, heat pumps, compressors, boilers, exhaust fans, economizers, humidifiers, chilled water systems, and cooling towers.
- System Evaluation and Repair: Inspect HVAC systems and their components to evaluate their condition, identify necessary repairs, and recommend preventative maintenance.
- Calibration and Troubleshooting: Calibrate temperature control-related sensors, receivers, and transmitters, and troubleshoot and maintain control systems, including pneumatic, DDS/hybrid systems.
- Building Automation Systems: Effectively monitor and adjust interior environments using a Building Automation System.
- Mechanical and Physical Plant Systems: Repair and maintain other mechanical and physical plant systems, including motors, pumps, valves, compressors, etc.
- Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain relevant logs and documentation.
- Subcontractor Management: Monitor the performance of HVAC subcontractors, including conformance to code.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service.
- Emergency Response: Respond to emergency situations during and after hours.
- Education and Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and a minimum of 3 years of commercial HVAC experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Skills and Qualifications: Excellent communication and documentation skills, experienced with schematics and blueprints, self-motivated, and comfortable with different technology-based applications and computers.
- Certifications and Licenses: Universal HVAC license and a valid state driver's license.
