Job Title: Postdoctoral Associate

We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Associate to join our research team at the University of Miami. The successful candidate will have a strong background in epigenetics and/or human genetics, and/or prior work experience in an epigenetics and/or human genetics laboratory for translational research in the basic molecular biology of acute leukemia.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct research on specific areas of study as assigned.
  • Prepare research reports and technical papers for publishing.
  • Investigate the feasibility of applying a wide variety of scientific principles and theories.
  • Maintain substantial knowledge of state-of-the-art principles and theories.
  • Develop advanced analytical models and systems and provide solutions and analyses to support strategic and tactical decisions.
  • Perform a spectrum of epigenetics techniques, including but not limited to chromatin extraction, CHIP-qPCR, CHIP-Seq, RNA-Seq, etc.
  • Adhere to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.
Requirements:
  • MD or Ph.D. in relevant field.
  • Exposure in epigenetics and/or human genetics, or prior work experience in an epigenetics and/or human genetics laboratory for translational research in the basic molecular biology of acute leukemia.
  • Skill in collecting, organizing, and analyzing data.
  • Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment in making critical decisions.
