Key Responsibilities- Compliance Program Development: Coordinate and assist in the development, implementation, and administration of a comprehensive regulatory compliance program designed to reduce the Company's exposure to systematic legal, regulatory, and market conduct compliance violations.
- Internal Reviews: Conduct periodic internal reviews, using appropriate research and statistical methodology, of operational functions, including rate and form filing use, product advertising, claim settlement practices, underwriting and policy termination, document retention and disposition, policyholder and employee privacy, and underwriting practices.
- Corrective Action Plans: Develop, implement, and verify all corrective action plans resulting from the compliance review process.
- Regulatory Inquiries: Coordinate Company responses to market conduct examinations, storm moratoria, data calls, department complaints, and other regulatory inquiries.
- Reporting and Recommendations: Coordinate periodic reports and recommendations to senior management.
- Project Management: Serve occasionally as formal project manager on significant corporate projects and initiatives.
- Professional Development: Actively participate in professional development, i.e., continuing education or self-improvement.
- Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.
- Insurance Education: Insurance education and designations such as AINS, CPCU preferred.
- Experience: Demonstrated experience working with insurance regulations, claims, underwriting, and administrative operations and processes, statistical review and measurement, and proficiency in effective interpersonal skills, communication, and negotiation.
- Project Management: Demonstrated formal project management skills preferred.
- Technical Skills: Demonstrated PC skills, including proficient use of Microsoft Office products.
