About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Patient Care Specialist to join our team at DaVita Inc. As a Patient Care Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients undergoing dialysis treatment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct Patient Care: Spend the majority of your day in direct one-on-one patient care to provide safe, comfortable, and hygienic dialysis treatment.
  • Technician Duties: Monitor patients before, during, and after dialysis treatment, including measuring and recording vital signs, patient observations, and hemodialysis machine setup.
  • Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with our cross-functional team to identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance patient care and satisfaction.
  • Building Relationships: Develop long-term relationships with patients who are receiving treatment on average three times a week.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with a team of clinicians, including nurses, dietitians, social workers, and leadership, to ensure seamless patient care and support.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: Previous healthcare experience preferred, but not required.
  • Skills: Ability to work independently and as part of a team, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a strong commitment to patient care and satisfaction.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to work long hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and to lift and move patients as needed.
