Job Description

Aramark's Step Up to Leadership (S2L) Internship Program is a paid opportunity for college students to gain valuable business skills and leadership experience. The program is designed to provide students with key experience, expertise, and resources to help them pursue their career goals.

As an S2L intern, you will have the chance to work directly with industry leaders, participate in structured program activities, and develop your professional skills. You will also have the opportunity to take on leadership roles within Aramark and gain relevant work experience.

The S2L Program offers a series of professional development trainings to supplement the learning that occurs through structured account experiences and on-the-job learning. You can expect:

Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with the Food and Beverage Manager to ensure high standards of customer service, cost control, and compliance with Aramark policies
  • Assign and assist Line Service Workers with individual tasks and duties
  • Monitor special event function set-up and coverage, and check on clean-up activities
  • Monitor operations in all Food and Beverage Outlets
  • Assist in training and scheduling of personnel
  • Deal with guests courteously and efficiently
  • Lead, motivate, and relate to others
  • Check previous day's function areas for cleanliness
  • Spot check bar sheets and ensure accurate inventory of alcohol
  • Monitor employee time on a daily basis and record information for payroll input documentation
  • Inventories Special Function service ware
  • Ensure compliance of Aramark Alcohol Service Policy in all locations

Qualifications:

  • Open to those actively pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in any field of study
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, or holidays
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by Aramark for this position
