At CVS Health, we're committed to delivering exceptional patient care and services. As a Pharmacy Clerk, you'll play a vital role in our team by communicating with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate home infusion orders. Your responsibilities will include ordering and maintaining inventory, gathering and organizing patient information, and ensuring patient documentation is up-to-date in our electronic database.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with maintenance of patient files, sorting and filing physician orders and clinical documentation.
- Provide administrative support to the specialty team, including typing, faxing, and tracking physician orders, discharging patients from service, and filling paperwork in the correct sections of medication.
- Call patients to confirm delivery and coordinate with internal team members, documenting discussions in progress notes and rescheduling patients for subsequent deliveries.
- Track patient pumps, swapping them out when due for PM and retrieving them when patients discharge from services.
Requirements:
- Minimum one year of customer service experience.
- Minimum one year of experience working in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work with a sense of urgency and pay close attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team.
- Experience in home health and/or healthcare industry.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
Education:
High School diploma or GED equivalent.
Pay Range:
The typical pay range for this role is $17.00 - $31.30. This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, geography, and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission, or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
