Join Our Team as a Construction Intern

We are seeking highly motivated and ambitious individuals to join our team as Construction Interns at Meritage Homes. As a Construction Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the homebuilding industry and work closely with our experienced team members.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the construction process, including ensuring homes are delivered within specific cycle times and budget targets are met.
  • Interact daily with various departments of the company, subcontractors, customers, and city inspectors.
  • Work closely with internal business leaders to learn the homebuilding industry, the Meritage business model, and an assigned functional area.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects involving other interns and business leaders centered around current business challenges.
  • Present real-world business recommendations to senior leadership that can help drive our strategy.
Requirements
  • Actively enrolled in a degree program from a regionally accredited university or college.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Preferred: Experience working in a team environment on cross-functional projects, experience dealing with ambiguity, and experience in a leadership capacity or role.
