Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Credit Specialist to join our team at Daikin. As a key member of our credit and collections department, you will be responsible for providing commercial credit and collections functions, analyzing early delinquent and over credit limits on commercial accounts, and communicating with customers to resolve complaints and verify financial and credit transactions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maximize Company Cash Flow: Ensure compliance with established credit policy and collection expectations to minimize exposure and prevent collection methods.
  • Customer Communication: Contact customers regarding overdue accounts, determine reasons for non-payment, and issue dunning letters to overdue accounts.
  • Account Reconciliation: Reconcile customer accounts and perform required customer maintenance on accounts.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Perform required reporting and analyze customer records to identify and select delinquent accounts for collection.
  • Payment Plans and Bad Debt: Evaluate customer records and recommend payment plans based on payment history and purchase activity, and recommend bad debt write-offs.
  • Credit Holds and Collections: Issue credit hold notifications and coordinate customer credit changes with the credit department.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work with internal management to resolve customer complaints and verify financial and credit transactions.
Requirements:
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent, Associate's/Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience.
  • Experience: 0-2 years collections experience in a commercial environment.
  • Skills: Working knowledge of collections best practices and procedures, exceptional customer service skills, strong phone etiquette, and strong computer skills including MS Office-Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Working Environment:

Reports to: Supervisor, Credit

Physical Requirements: Must be able to perform essential responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodations.
