Job Title: Thin Film Deposition Scientist

We are seeking a highly skilled Thin Film Deposition Scientist to join our Advanced Sensors Engineering Team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD) and experience in developing new processes and approaches to improve designs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, lead, execute, and report experiments, write up data sets, and process flows
  • Produce prototypes to flesh out new processes and document the process for verification
  • Establish process of record for preparation, handling, and fixturing of substrates for atomic layer deposition
  • Precursor selection and recipe development for optimized uniformity, stoichiometry, and film performance
  • Film characterization techniques and process monitoring, including ellipsometry, SEM, XPS, etc.
  • Experience or familiarity with Atomic Layer Deposition, Ultra-High Vacuum Systems, common MEMS/semiconductor processes, and general cleanroom environments
Requirements:
  • Background in applied physics, materials science, electrical engineering, chemistry, or similar field
  • Demonstrated examples of self-driven efforts in technical areas outside of academic training
  • Ability to work independently and be flexible to the continuously-evolving nature of research and development efforts

This is an in-person position that includes significant on-site and in-lab contributions. The candidate will work in a diverse team-based environment alongside technical staff of varying levels of expertise and should be able to execute technical tasks and communicate technical matters to engineering and management.
