We are seeking a skilled Mixologist Extraordinaire to join our team at Waters Bar and Grille, located inside Embassy Suites Hotel in Portland, Oregon.

Salary: $16.00 per hour plus tips received.

Job Description:

The primary purpose of the Mixologist Extraordinaire is to provide guests with an outstanding dining and beverage experience by expertly crafting cocktails and adhering to established protocols and controls.

Responsibilities:

  • Welcoming and serving guests with exceptional professionalism;
  • Distributing alcoholic beverages while ensuring compliance with liquor laws and company policies;
  • Performing side duties such as cleaning, sanitizing, garnish preparation, and miscellaneous food and beverage preparation;
  • Ensuring all alcohol is removed from counters and tables prior to closing time;
  • Completing daily opening and closing duties;
  • Accounting for all cash and securing money drops according to company policy;
  • Reporting tips properly for tax processing;
  • Observing Health Department guidelines for food handling and sanitation to prevent cross-contamination;
  • Date and rotating food on a daily basis;
  • FOLLOWING ALL COMPANY SAFETY AND SECURITY POLICIES AND PROCEDURES;

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • SIX (6) MONTHS OF PREVIOUS MIXOLOGY EXPERIENCE;
  • HOSPITALITY EXPERIENCE IS PREFERRED;
  • HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA OR EQUIVALENT;
  • FOOD SAFETY TRAINING CERTIFIED OR WILL BECOME CERTIFIED WITHIN 60 DAYS OF EMPLOYMENT;
  • ALCOHOL AWARENESS CERTIFIED OR WILL BECOME CERTIFIED WITHIN 60 DAYS OF EMPLOYMENT;
  • PREFERABLY, PRIOR EXPERIENCE WITH MICROs OPERATING SYSTEM.

Physical Demands:

  • Able to lift a minimum of 50lbs occasionally;
  • Able to lift 10lbs regularly;
  • Able to bend and squat repeatedly;
  • Able to walk and stand for duration of scheduled shift.

  • Flexible to work day shifts, early mornings, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
