  • Assess loan submissions for eligibility within the residential affordable housing initiative, performing thorough financial evaluations of applicants to determine creditworthiness, while collaborating closely with the underwriting team.
  • Build and nurture partnerships with organizations aligned with the mission of Affordable Housing outreach and homebuyer education.
  • Stay informed about current loan offerings, operational procedures, and marketing strategies.
  • Oversee the financial stability of affordable housing initiatives and offer strategic recommendations for enhancements or necessary interventions.
  • Engage in and complete required training sessions as needed.
  • Lead and/or participate in community outreach initiatives focused on education and promoting the bank's services within the communities served.
  • Contribute to community and business development efforts.
  • Ensure adherence to all applicable state, federal, and internal policies, procedures, and regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Possession of a valid Driver's License.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in residential lending, particularly in affordable housing.
  • In-depth understanding of affordable housing financing options, including FHA, OHFA, Fannie Mae, and Freddie Mac guidelines.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation capabilities.
  • Detail-oriented with robust analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team-oriented environment.
