Key Responsibilities- Program Development and Implementation
- Develop and implement a comprehensive strategic plan for the Collegiate Recovery Program.
- Design and deliver recovery education and ally programs.
- Develop and administer policies and procedures in support of the program's mission.
- Team Member Experience
- Determine staffing needs and recruit, select, supervise, and mentor professional and student staff.
- Coordinate and plan for work distribution among team members.
- Support ongoing learning and professional development of team members.
- Marketing and Communications
- Develop and implement the program's brand and marketing materials.
- Develop and implement communications to engage and support students in the program.
- Develop and implement marketing and communications materials to educate stakeholders and the community about recovery and the program's benefits.
- Resources
- Determine financial, facility, equipment, technology, and other resource needs to support the program.
- Develop and manage the program's budget and financial transactions.
- Plan and oversee the operational management of program facilities.
- Plan and oversee the procurement and management of equipment, supplies, and materials.
- Health and Wellbeing Common Agenda
- Contribute to the Health and Wellbeing Leadership Team and embed the common agenda in the program.
- Collaborate with other Health and Wellbeing departments to enhance comprehensive health and wellness programs and services.
- Division, University, Industry
- Serve as a senior leader within the Division of Student Affairs and contribute to the division's strategic plan.
- Serve as a senior leader at the University of Houston and engage with internal and external campus leadership groups.
- Represent the program on internal and external campus leadership groups to promote recovery as a priority on campus.
- Consult and cultivate partnerships and collaborations with internal and external partners and stakeholders to ensure the program's success.
- Education
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in public health, social work, psychology, education, public administration, or related field.
- Experience
- Three (3) years or more of administrative experience in collegiate recovery or similar youth or young adult community recovery programs.
- Skills and Abilities
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in program development, staff leadership, and budget management.
- Strong communications skills and effectiveness in stakeholder engagement and collaboration.
- Strong organizational skills and innovative thinking.
- Understanding of, and commitment to, student success.
