Psychiatric Specialist

Smith Arnold Partners is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Attending Psychiatrist to join our team in Duchess County, NY. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will work with adult patients suffering from severe mental illness and substance abuse problems.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological, social, and behavioral assessments of patients.
- Perform psychiatric evaluations and develop diagnostic procedures.
- Develop treatment plans and recommend medications and therapy for patients.
- Collaborate with other therapists to provide patient psychiatric services.
- Monitor patient progress and maintain accurate documentation.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment for patients.
- Obtain patient health history and medical problems required for diagnosis.
- Work with our interdisciplinary team to conduct mental and physical examinations.
- Provide guidance to other physicians and clinical staff on psychiatric treatments.
- Maintain high levels of professionalism and competence in clinical duties.
- Foster positive working relationships with patients and their families.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited Psychiatry Residency Program (MD/DO).
- Active or in-process New York state Medical license.
- Preferred 2 years of experience as an Attending Psychiatrist.
- DEA License (Active or in-process).
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Substance abuse experience preferred.
