Geotechnical Engineer

Cash Waggner & Associates is seeking a highly skilled Geotechnical Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and constructing geotechnical structures, assessing soil and rock properties, and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure project success.

• Design and develop geotechnical structures, including foundations, retaining walls, and earth dams
• Assess soil and rock properties to support safe and efficient design, construction, and maintenance of infrastructure projects
• Collaborate with project stakeholders, including civil engineers, structural engineers, and construction managers
• Manage and direct field crew activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and design specifications
• Develop and present reports on project progress, including environmental impact statements and right-of-way descriptions

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, with an emphasis on Soils Mechanics, Foundations, Geotechnical Engineering, and Civil Engineering
• Professional Engineer licensure or ability to become licensed
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Proficient in computer-assisted design (CAD) and other design, data recording, and analysis software

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times. Must be able to travel to various project sites. Must be able to access and navigate job sites and construction areas.
