Job Description

BAE Systems FAST Labs is seeking a highly skilled Senior Scientist to join our team in developing innovative scientific solutions to complex technical problems. As a Senior Scientist, you will be responsible for leading the design, development, and execution of research projects, applying scientific principles and concepts to the development of prototype capabilities, and contributing to external publications and/or invention disclosures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and execution of innovative scientific solutions to complex technical problems.
  • Apply scientific principles and concepts to the development of prototype capabilities.
  • Contribute to external publications and/or invention disclosures.
  • Support the development of strategic roadmaps and plans for research projects.
  • Mentor less experienced staff on technical skillsets.

Requirements

  • Active Secret DoD clearance with the ability to attain Top Secret/SCI clearance.
  • Core competency in one or more technical fields in RF sensors, EO/IR sensors, digital signal processing, sensor modeling and simulation, and evaluating system performance measures.
  • Integration and test experience with hardware/software systems in both lab and field test environments.
  • Experience as a principal investigator for medium-sized research efforts, coordinating technical program performance with leadership and functional engineering managers.
