We are seeking a skilled Custodian to join our team at Rowan College at Burlington County. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facilities, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our students, faculty, and staff.
Key Responsibilities- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors, as well as clean and disinfect restrooms and other high-touch areas.
- Use heavy-duty power equipment to clean and maintain floors, carpets, and other surfaces.
- Empty trash and recyclables, and restock supplies as needed.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as changing light bulbs and reporting any necessary repairs.
- Assist with special events and projects, as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- One year of experience in custodial services or a related field preferred.
- Ability to lift 40 pounds or more, and to stand for long periods of time.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
This is a full-time position that requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions. The successful candidate will be required to work in a variety of settings, including offices, classrooms, and outdoor areas.
