We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Counselor to join our team at The Cowlitz Indian Tribe. As a Mental Health Counselor, you will provide individual, family, and group counseling services to clients, utilizing a variety of strengths-based, culturally responsive therapeutic modalities.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive diagnostic assessments to determine client diagnoses, social, and mental health needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, incorporating evidence-based practices and cultural sensitivity.
- Provide individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing a range of psychological techniques and emphasizing co-occurring disorders treatment.
- Collaborate with community services and resources to ensure continuity of care and achievement of treatment goals.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of services provided, monitoring client progress and adapting treatment plans as needed.
- Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field.
- Three years of experience providing behavioral health services, with two years of experience working with youth.
- Licensed to provide mental health services in Washington state (LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, PsyD).
- Experience working within American Indian and/or Alaska Native communities preferred.
