  • 1st shift: Monday-Friday 6:15 AM - 2:15 PM, with overtime as required by business needs
  • 1st shift compensation: $25.96/hour
As a Fabrication Production Trainer at Caterpillar, your responsibilities will include:
  • Delivering onboarding training for new employees and agency associates
  • Facilitating Welder-1 / Welder-3 certification training
  • Evaluating training requirements for employees and agency personnel
  • Revising and enhancing training plans and programs as necessary
  • Maintaining and updating training documentation
  • Assisting in the organization of the training timetable
  • Willingness to work alternative shifts as required
Basic Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in Welding/Fabrication
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in training, coaching, or educational roles
  • Post-secondary education credentials
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Background in manufacturing
  • Proficient in MIG welding techniques
  • Valid MIG certification
  • Ability to read and interpret AWS welding symbols
  • Experience in the manufacturing, testing, or inspection of lifting devices
  • Proficient in using weld gauges
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Capability to analyze and organize training materials
  • Advanced understanding of welding processes
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to occasionally lift components weighing up to 35 pounds individually or 70 pounds as a team
  • Occasional bending, reaching, and squatting during tasks
  • Consistent use of required personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Capacity to work in environments with fluctuating temperatures
  • Ability to stand or sit at a desk while performing tasks
