Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the necessary qualifications to function as a law enforcement officer under the authority granted by the Board of Governors, adhering to the standards set forth by the Federal Reserve Act and relevant regulations.
  • Develop, demonstrate, and sustain expertise in essential duties, including operational protocols, weaponry (both lethal and non-lethal), security apparatus, first aid, CPR, fire safety, crowd control, and public relations. Display sound judgment in critical situations involving safety, the management of detected weapons or explosive materials, and the careful handling of sensitive incidents.
  • Execute security and safety-related tasks. Conduct patrols of the premises, report unusual occurrences or unauthorized individuals, respond to alarm situations, and provide emergency assistance. Monitor surveillance systems, communication devices, and other specialized equipment. Observe Bank departments for safety or security breaches and report findings to management. Complete necessary shift reports, incident documentation, and other required paperwork.
  • Regulate access for pedestrians and vehicles to the facility using screening tools to identify unauthorized items before entry. Inspect vehicles entering sensitive areas for unauthorized personnel or materials. Manage visitor access to Bank facilities and maintain accurate visitor logs.
  • As needed, initiate investigations into incidents and accidents, make appropriate notifications, and perform follow-up tasks as directed by supervisors. May be required to provide testimony in legal proceedings related to incidents.
  • Achieve proficiency in the use of personal computers (PC) and relevant software essential for job functions.
  • Participate in special assignments as necessary to ensure the safety of dignitaries associated with the Reserve Bank or the Board of Governors, which may include escorting visitors, contractors, or vendors in high-security zones.

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED

Experience:

  • Less than 2 years

Knowledge Area/Technical Skills/Certifications and Licenses:

  • Basic Law Enforcement
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Applications
