Job Summary

As a Dock Worker at Estes Express Lines, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently loading and unloading freight using a variety of equipment. This includes forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and manual handling. You will also be responsible for strapping, bracing, and padding freight to prevent damage or shifting during transit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Properly load and unload freight using designated equipment
  • Accurately record the condition of freight as it arrives at the terminal
  • Perform pre-shift and post-shift inspections of dock equipment to ensure safe operation
  • Strap, brace, and pad freight to prevent damage or shifting
Requirements
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
  • Basic math skills and ability to accurately record data
