Job Summary

The Driver Warehouse Associate role at Baker Distributing involves daily delivery and transportation of HVAC goods and materials from our established wholesale HVAC distributorships to customers, vendors, or other Sales Center locations. This position also includes maintaining and operating the warehouse in between deliveries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Delivery and Transportation: Daily loading and unloading of products in truck for delivery to customers and/or other Sales Centers.
  • Warehouse Operations: Assist in the Warehouse with inventory counts, picking and verifying orders.
  • Truck Maintenance: Responsible for daily checklist of truck maintenance and reporting in/out times with merchandise returns.
  • Customer Service: Represent Baker Distributing Company as a leader in the industry and provide superior service to customers.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Experience: Minimum 1-year truck driving experience and box truck delivery experience.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Must possess a clean driving record with no restrictions, suspensions, or DUI convictions in the past 3 years. Must have a current DOT Physical card prior to employment.
  • Skills: Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills, excellent customer service mindset, and ability to work independently and in a team environment.

  • Must be able to frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
  • The employee frequently is required to stand, sit, or walk, climb, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
