Responsibilities- Provide Direct Patient Care: Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in the Psychiatric Emergency Department.
- Collaborate with Healthcare Team: Work effectively with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Manage Patient Flow: Coordinate patient admissions, transfers, and discharges to ensure efficient and safe care.
- Participate in Quality Improvement: Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and participate in peer review to enhance patient care and outcomes.
- Maintain Accurate Records: Accurately document patient information, including medical history, treatment plans, and progress notes.
- NYS Nursing License: Current registration with the New York State Education Department.
- BSN or Equivalent: Bachelor of Science in Nursing or equivalent degree.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of acute care RN experience, preferably in a psychiatric or emergency department setting.
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required within 6 months of hire.
