Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at W- Encompass Health Rehab Hospital of Modesto. As a key member of our rehabilitation team, you will play a vital role in helping patients regain their independence and achieve their goals.

Responsibilities
  • Provide occupational therapy services to patients in an inpatient rehabilitation setting, focusing on acute rehabilitation and patient-centered care.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address patients' physical, emotional, and cognitive needs.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, and other therapists, to ensure comprehensive care and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify patients' strengths, weaknesses, and functional abilities.
  • Design and implement adaptive equipment and assistive technology to enhance patients' independence and quality of life.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination and patient satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Current CA License as an Occupational Therapist
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
  • Experience working in an inpatient rehabilitation setting, preferably in acute rehab
  • Ability to work a Tuesday-Saturday schedule, with flexibility for weekday rotation
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-centered approach
